Contar historias. Es lo mío.

Las primeras las escribí a mano y contaban mi vida en un patio de colegio en el Madrid de los 80. 

La última la he montado con Adobe Premiere y resume mis tres últimos años como productora y reportera del canal de televisón más potente y global del mundo, CNN. Esas tres letras cambiaron mi vida. Me inspiraron para dejar mi tierra en busca de LA Noticia. Y la noticia me encontró a mi, cuando aquellos ojos de becaria vieron desplomarse las Torres Gemelas de Nueva York.

América nunca fue la misma ni yo tampoco. 

Me quedaban muchas historias por contar "in english", en prensa escrita y mucha más tele.

Horas haciendo directos en el estudio, varios premios de la Nacional Association of Hispanics Publications. Produje, escribí y presenté el documental "Atrapados en el silencio" sobre el drama del acoso escolar y recibí una nominación al Emmy. 

Tras 17 años de periodismo en primera fila he vivido momentos que han cambiado el rumbo de la historia: atentados terroristas, elecciones presidenciales, tiroteos, terremotos, corrupción y avances tecnológicos. Todas estas historias han marcado mi vida pero las que han tenido un mayor impacto son las historias humanas; Eduardo, que busca justicia para su hija que se suicidó con solo 15 años por el bullying; Óscar, que salva vidas en aguas del Mediterráneo; Juan, que recorre el mundo en bicicleta sin colón ni estómago.

Sigo contando historias con el objetivo de informar con la verdad, investigar los hechos y mostrar que hay muchas vidas que merecen ser contadas.

Telling stories has always been my passion.

Even as a young girl, I wrote out my first stories by hand and talked about my life at primary school in Madrid during the 80s. 

Now, I just put it together my most recent story in Adobe Premiere; this story is about the last three years of my life in which was a Segment Producer for the most powerful and global news network in the world, CNN. Those three letters changed my life.

This network inspired me to leave my country in order to find THE news.

But the news found me when, as a young intern, I saw the Twin Towers in New York City collapsing before my very eyes.

The United States has never been the same and neither have I.

Ahead of me were many years of stories to be told; I worked in both television and print over the course of my career. In addition to producing entire segments of news, I spent many hours live from the studio reporting on breaking news. I also fully produced a documentary on bullying called “Atrapados en el silencio” for CNN Español. I got several awards from the Nacional Association of Hispanics Publications for articles and stories that served the community and I was nominated for an Emmy.  

For 17 years I have had a front row seat to global events: terrorist attacks, presidential elections, mass shootings, corruption, and climate change.  While these stories have changed my life, it is the human stories that have had a true impact. Eduardo, whose daughter committed suicide ...She was a victim of bullying. Oscar who saves lives in the Mediterranean Sea; Juan, who travels the world without his stomach and colon.

I keep telling stories to inform with the truth, to investigate the facts and to show that are many lives that need to be told.
